Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Stryx Development, Peeksi's operator ("Peeksi," "we," "our," or "us"). They apply to your use of peeksi.org, community searches, server profiles and claims, account access, the dashboard, the Peeksi Discord bot, our official Discord server, and other Peeksi services.

By using Peeksi, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Peeksi.

2. Eligibility and Authority

You must be legally permitted to use Discord and Peeksi in your location. If you use Peeksi for a server, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act for it and bind it to these Terms.

Installing or configuring the bot requires appropriate Discord permissions, including Manage Server where Peeksi requests it. A server administrator who enables moderation or analysis must have authority to do so, provide any notices required to server members, and use Peeksi in compliance with applicable law and Discord's rules.

3. What Peeksi Provides

Peeksi is a server-information and trust service for Discord communities. Depending on availability, Peeksi may:

• validate Discord invites when a user requests a result;
• create public server profiles from Discord data and Peeksi-verified signals;
• display provisional trust scores, server activity, ownership, and bot-connection information;
• let eligible Discord users view servers they own or administer;
• allow a current server owner to claim public ownership; and
• provide bot-assisted verification, trust, safety, and limited server analysis.

Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, or withdrawn. Peeksi is not a substitute for a server's own moderators, rules, investigation, judgment, or emergency response.

4. Discord and Third-Party Services

Peeksi depends on Discord and may link to services such as DISBOARD and Top.gg. Each service's terms and policies apply. You must follow the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.

Peeksi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, DISBOARD, or Top.gg. We are not responsible for a third party's availability, content, security, decisions, or changes to its platform or API.

5. Accounts and Discord OAuth

Peeksi uses Discord OAuth to identify a signed-in user and determine which servers that user owns or administers. You may not use another person's account, misrepresent your identity or authority, bypass access controls, or share a session in a way that compromises Peeksi or another user.

You are responsible for protecting your Discord account and device. Notify us promptly if you believe someone used Peeksi through your account without authorization.

6. Public Server Profiles and Ownership Claims

Server profiles, scores, invite status, activity summaries, ownership information, and similar server-level information may be public and indexed by search engines. A profile may remain available even when a particular invite expires or the bot is later removed.

When you claim a server, you direct Peeksi to publicly identify your Discord account as that server's verified owner. Your Discord username, display name, avatar, and ownership relationship may be visible to anyone and indexed by search engines. You must keep a claim accurate and must not claim a server you do not own.

We may verify, reject, hide, correct, or remove a claim or profile when evidence changes, a request is fraudulent, or continued publication creates a legal, safety, or integrity concern.

7. Bot Installation and Setup Authorization

Installing the bot allows Peeksi to confirm the server and its owner, create an initial public profile for the server on peeksi.org, and determine whether the bot remains connected. The bot may retain a lightweight heartbeat and setup record while connected. After an authorized administrator accepts the current setup-v2 authorization, Peeksi may use its Create Invite permission to create and store one reusable, non-expiring, unlimited-use invite in a channel visible to everyone when no active invite is saved. An administrator can revoke a particular invite, but Peeksi may create a replacement while current setup remains accepted, no active invite is saved, and that permission remains. Opting out prevents future fallback invite creation; it does not automatically revoke an invite already created. Until an authorized administrator accepts the current setup-v2 authorization, server analysis remains idle. An earlier setup version may retain its historical award record but does not activate participation points or authorize message sampling.

The /setup choice is a server-level operational authorization made by an administrator. It is not consent on behalf of every server member, does not waive anyone's privacy rights, and does not replace notices or another lawful basis that may be required where you operate.

After an authorized administrator accepts setup-v2, Peeksi takes limited, periodic randomized samples from permitted community-visible channels the bot can access. It analyzes selected message text only in memory for configured server-level safety signals and surrounding context, then immediately discards the sampled content. Peeksi does not retain message text, snippets, content hashes, embeddings, detected phrases or matches, or member, message, or channel identifiers from this analysis.

Peeksi retains only one server-level aggregate for each day, an operational sample count, a private processing-version reference, and processing and finalization timestamps. Recent moderation-analysis records are kept for 30 days. To preserve cumulative earned trust, up to 561 of the most recent valid, completed daily aggregates with positive results and their limited operational metadata may be retained longer while the server profile exists; other records are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Deleting the server profile also deletes its moderation-analysis records. The aggregate may raise or lower the server's overall trust score. Limited randomized sampling is not comprehensive and may miss or misread context, so server administrators remain responsible for notices, reviewing context, making moderation decisions, and addressing appeals.

Current setup authorization also enables the public Recent Activity chart. Peeksi counts new messages delivered to the connected bot in channels it can view, excluding bot and webhook messages. This feature does not read message content or scan message history and does not retain member, message, or channel identifiers. Hourly counts and observed duration are saved in batches about once a minute and are scheduled for deletion after eight days. The chart measures only activity the bot observed; inaccessible channels and time offline are not measured. Bot activity counting does not add trust points. A banned listing is not tracked and displays zero activity.

You may decline or later opt out through /setup. Opting out immediately stops future sampling, activity counting, and consent-gated verification and leaves the bot connected but idle; removing the bot ends its connection. Opting out or removing the bot does not automatically delete the public profile or its historical records. Retained moderation-analysis records do not provide positive score credit while the server has opted out or the bot is removed. Certain previously collected records may remain under the retention and deletion rules described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Trust Scores and Signals

Peeksi scores are informational estimates based on the server-level evidence Peeksi can verify. They may be provisional, incomplete, delayed, incorrect, or affected by limited evidence. A high score does not guarantee that a community or member is safe, and a low or unrated score does not prove wrongdoing.

Peeksi's full trust model uses a 100-point displayed scale. Up to 40 raw public-evidence points are calibrated to contribute up to 60 displayed points. A verified server-owner claim adds 5 displayed points while its supporting evidence, current bot connection, and current setup authorization remain active. Accepting current setup adds 15 displayed participation points while that setup and connection remain active. A currently connected, setup-authorized profile can also reflect protected server-analysis and longitudinal evidence that may raise or lower its overall score. Peeksi keeps the specific server-analysis method confidential to reduce manipulation. Neither the ownership nor setup award stacks.

A profile remains on the public-only model unless it has both a current Peeksi bot connection and accepted current setup authorization. Peeksi calculates that displayed score by dividing its earned public points by 40, multiplying by 60, and rounding to the nearest whole number. The profile is capped at 60, shows Low confidence, and is labeled Not Peeksi Verified. This includes a newly connected server before setup acceptance, a declined or opted-out server, and a server where the bot was removed. For example, 37 raw public points display as 56/60. Evidence coverage is calculated separately from that score.

A current Peeksi bot connection together with accepted current setup authorization unlocks the 100-point model, with Medium confidence below 90. The profile shows Verification in Progress while its trust score is below 90. Public evidence keeps the same calibration on setup-authorized profiles. The full score combines calibrated public evidence, current ownership, active setup, and protected server-analysis or longitudinal evidence. Installing or connecting the bot alone grants no points and does not change the profile's confidence or verification status.

Servers become Peeksi Verified automatically when their current trust score is 90 or higher. These profiles also show High confidence. If the score drops below 90, Peeksi Verified and High confidence are removed; confidence returns to Medium while the 100-point model remains active or Low on the public-only model. Server analysis is limited, may be incomplete, and is only one part of the server-level trust estimate.

Evidence coverage measures server transparency to Peeksi independently of the trust score: up to 20% for current public data, 20% for a recently confirmed valid invite, and 60% proportional to readable supported channels. Public data includes 10% for profile details and 10% for member and online counts, checked within seven days; the invite must also have been confirmed within seven days. Channel access requires a connected bot, accepted current setup, and an access check from the last 15 minutes that follows the latest setup decision. With full public and invite coverage, access to 1 of 20 supported channels gives 43% evidence coverage even if the trust score is 95. Coverage does not change the trust score, confidence label, or Peeksi Verified status. Banned listings show 0%. Channel coverage counts top-level text, announcement, forum, and media channels where Peeksi can view messages and read history. Categories and voice channels are excluded. Private and archived threads are not separately measured, and channel access does not mean every message was reviewed. Missing or stale checks earn no coverage for that source; the profile distinguishes those checks from confirmed limited access. Coverage is not a probability of safety.

The confidence label and Peeksi Verified status summarize Peeksi's current assessment. These indicators do not guarantee that a community or member is safe. Repeated ownership claims or setup acceptance do not multiply their awards. Setup points are removed when the server opts out through /setup, and ownership or other supported points may change or expire when their evidence is no longer current.

Scores must not be used to profile an individual or make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, eligibility for essential services, or another high-impact decision. Peeksi may change a scoring method to improve accuracy, resist manipulation, comply with law, or reflect available evidence.

9. Acceptable Use

You must follow the Peeksi Guidelines. You may not manipulate scores or activity, submit private or unauthorized invites, falsify ownership, interfere with the service, scrape Peeksi at scale, evade rate limits, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, or use Peeksi to harass, deceive, surveil, or harm another person.

10. Reports, Corrections, and Appeals

If a profile, ownership label, invite, or score appears inaccurate, email [email protected] with the server ID, the information at issue, and supporting context. We may ask you to verify your Discord identity or server authority. We may preserve information while investigating fraud, abuse, security issues, or legal obligations.

Peeksi may correct objective errors and review automated or evidence-based outcomes, but we cannot guarantee a particular result or restore evidence that is no longer verifiable. Because sampled message content is discarded immediately, Peeksi may be unable to reconstruct the sampled conversation during an appeal. You may provide relevant supporting context, but should not send unnecessary private information.

11. Intellectual Property

The Peeksi website at peeksi.org, Peeksi Discord bot, and original Peeksi materials are owned by Stryx Development or their respective licensors. These materials include our original source code, site design and layouts, text, artwork, owl mascot, illustrations, graphics, logos, branding, scoring presentation, and documentation, together with the original rules, guides, announcements, and other official materials we create for Peeksi's Discord server ("Peeksi Materials"). We reserve all applicable intellectual-property rights in Peeksi Materials and our non-public scoring and abuse-resistance methods.

You may access and use Peeksi Materials through the website, bot, and official Discord server's intended features in accordance with these Terms. You may share links to public Peeksi pages. This permission does not transfer ownership or grant a license to reuse Peeksi Materials in another website, bot, server, product, or project. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Except for the intended use permitted above, uses permitted by applicable law, including fair use, or rights granted by an applicable separate license, you must not copy, reproduce, download for reuse, modify, adapt, distribute, republish, sell, sublicense, rebrand, or create derivative works from Peeksi Materials without our prior written permission. You must not remove or alter ownership notices, present our work as your own, or use our branding to falsely imply our endorsement or affiliation. These restrictions apply to commercial and noncommercial reuse; giving credit alone does not grant permission.

We operate and administer Peeksi's official Discord server, but do not own Discord's platform or technology, other communities' names or artwork, or content belonging to members or other third parties. Those materials remain the property of their respective owners. We do not claim copyright in public facts, ideas, or general methods of operation. Nothing in this section overrides an applicable open-source or other third-party license or restricts a use permitted by applicable law.

You retain rights in information you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Peeksi service and its public server profiles. You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to provide it.

12. Service Changes and Availability

We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any feature. Peeksi may be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, hosting issues, Discord API limits or outages, or other events. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every Discord server or invite can be checked.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Peeksi at any time, opt out through /setup, remove the bot, and request eligible deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may restrict or terminate access, claims, profiles, or bot functionality when reasonably necessary to protect users, Peeksi, Discord, or the public; enforce these Terms; respond to law; or investigate abuse.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity, will continue to apply.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peeksi is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that a score, profile, moderation signal, or third-party link is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for your purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stryx Development and its owners, personnel, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities; or harm caused by a Discord community, member, moderator, third-party service, score, signal, outage, or unauthorized access.

Our aggregate liability arising from Peeksi will not exceed the greater of 100 United States dollars or the amount you paid us for Peeksi during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Where applicable law does not allow a limitation, it applies only to the maximum extent allowed.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Stryx Development against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your server, your content, your misuse of Peeksi, your violation of these Terms or another person's rights, or your failure to provide required member notices. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Peeksi changes. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a change is material, we may provide an additional notice through the website, dashboard, bot, or another reasonable channel. Continuing to use Peeksi after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
